Harvest Current Transformers

When there are no power outlets out in the field, the Model 3AS can be mounted on an insulated conductor to borrow a small amount of electrical energy and convert it to a DC voltage for use as a subsequent power supply for operating voltage for instrumentation.

Application:
The Harvest Current Transformer, sometimes used with an AC to DC power supply, is mounted on a insulated conductor to borrow a small amount of power electrical energy by magnetic coupling and convert it to a DC voltage for use as a subsequent power supply for operating voltage for instrumentation.  Usually the harvesting is done at some remote location where there is an other power source available.  The harvest current transformer can be used to trickle charge batteries that are being used for remote located instumentation.
